Salem Al-Maliki qualifies for the semi-finals of the Qatar Satellite Championship. Squash International

Qatari player Salem Al-Maliki qualified for the semi-finals of the second edition of the Qatar Championship “Styles” International Squash, which is organized by the Qatar Football Association under the umbrella of the Professional Squash Players Association, on the courts of the Khalifa International Complex.

Al-Maliki qualified after defeating his opponent, Asad Khan, in the quarter-finals, with three clean runs, with results (11-1, 11-7, 11-8). Al-Maliki will face his Egyptian counterpart, Ali Afifi, in the next round, who also qualified after defeating his Qatari rival, Sayed Azlan, by withdrawing due to injury.

The Qatari player, Salem Al-Maliki, started his career in the tournament by defeating his compatriot, Talal Al-Badr, by three clean runs, with results (11-0, 11-5, 11-3). The tournament will witness the participation of 16 players representing the Qatari national team, Arab and Asian countries, and will be held according to the knockout system. This tournament is also the second of its kind organized by the Qatar Squash Federation this year.
