The Association of Banks in Lebanon announced the suspension of its strike after a week-long closure, in protest against decisions and lawsuits against some banks. The Association of Banks said in a statement: It "On the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan and to facilitate the affairs of all citizens, and in light of the ongoing contacts with the relevant authorities to address the imbalance in the judicial and regulatory facility, the Association of Banks in Lebanon decides to suspend the strike, and to follow up on its contacts with the relevant authorities, provided that it takes a position in the light of the practical results of these contacts, starting From tomorrow morning / Wednesday /. The Association of Banks in Lebanon announced the strike since March 14, and in a statement issued by it denounced the judicial decisions against the banks. It is noteworthy that the Association of Banks in Lebanon announced, on February 24, the suspension of its strike as well, more than three weeks after the closure of banks, in rejection of the judicial summons and some decisions issued against it, which, as it put it, affect the regularity of banking work and the rights of depositors.
