American model Emily Ratajkowski slammed Ellen DeGeneres’ old interview with singer Taylor Swift and now explains why,
This is an interview from 2012 that again caught the eye on social media. Emily is one of the people who harshly criticized her and in an interview with She she explains why she decided to talk about the issue.
“I recently became a big fan of (Taylor Swift). I loved his latest album and watched his documentary, but it’s only recently that I’ve followed his career so closely.” watching this interview, what really blew my mind was that Taylor was so clear about what made her uncomfortable,” she said.
“My attitude has changed over the years and I think I look at this interview very differently now than I did ten years ago.”
Misogyny
Emily added that the interview was “another example of a woman who had to go through so much misogyny, but we don’t want to admit it, because she’s successful and also because she’s white.”
In the video below, you can see two interviews with Taylor. One is from 2019, where she talks about how the media has treated her over time, and the other is Ellen’s interview from 2012.
In this interview, Taylor asks the host to stop and says she’s sick, which Ellen doesn’t.
“It’s so messed up. She’s literally begging her to stop,” Emily said of the interview.
