The President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, said that the return of nuclear weapons to the territory of the country was his idea.
During a speech to the people of the state and the National Assembly, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko revealed who owned the idea of placing Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. According to him, it was he who asked Putin to introduce tactical nuclear weapons into the country under the guarantee of reasonable use.
“No one will ever use it as a toy,” Lukashenko said in a remark.
As can be seen from the national leader’s remarks, the move to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus has a chilling effect in relations between Belarus and the West. This will bring greater security to the people and prevent Europe and the United States from provoking the Union State of Russia.
