Neurologist Golubinskaya called fatigue “masking” diseases

Chronic fatigue, as a rule, signals various diseases associated with a mental disorder or dysfunction of the endocrine system. Information about this was shared by a neurologist, candidate of medical sciences Olga Golubinskaya.

“In practice, under cover of chronic fatigue, depression, under-depressive state, psychosomatic syndrome, somatoform disorder can be masked. There may also be hypothyroidism, that is, reduced thyroid function or diabetes mellitus,” expert Golubinskaya said in a commentary to Sputnik radio.

The specialist says that if the fatigue does not go away for a long time, and the means to get rid of it do not help, then you need to consult a doctor. At the same time, there are other symptoms of chronic fatigue: sleep disturbances, decreased interest in life, abnormal appetite, when a person does not eat at all or rages against food.

Earlier it became known that, according to TV presenter Elena Malysheva, only two things can become the key to excellent sleep. The doctor talked about it on the program “Live healthy!”. His cardiologist colleague German Gandelman adheres to the same position. Experts are sure this requires the right mattress and a thick blanket.
