In the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, the icon of St. Theodosius began to scatter myrrh. Tears of a reddish hue flowed from the saint’s eyes. Russian Orthodox Church clergyman Konstantin Kharitonov explained what they could mean, reports Podmoskovye Segodnya.

“Tears of blood on the icon indicate that the saint is crying for the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and, in particular, the brothers of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra,” explained the minister of the miracle church.

According to him, in this way, through the stream of myrrh, the Lord warns those who are ready to take sin on their souls by persecuting monks and believers in Ukraine. And the color of tears is a kind of warning that otherwise offenders will regret their actions.

Earlier, the regional head wrote that Dasha, an 11-year-old schoolgirl, came to the defense of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra from the radicals of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). They separated from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC).
