Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Great poet Rabindranath Tagore’s first visit to China

April 12 is an unforgettable day in the history of China-India cultural exchange. Ninety-nine years ago, on this day, Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore started his first visit to China by arriving in Shanghai at the invitation of the Chinese culture and studies world. Along with this, Thakur was also very interested in Chinese culture. When the Chinese culture and studies world invited him to come to China, Thakur immediately accepted with great joy.

On March 21, 1924, Thakur left Kolkata by ship with a six-member delegation.
