White House: US sees no sign of Egypt supplying weapons to Russia

Washington sees no sign that Egypt is supplying arms to Russia. This was stated by the Strategic Communications Coordinator at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby.

“We saw no signs that Egypt would supply lethal weapons to Russia,” Kirby said during a briefing with reporters.

Recall that earlier the Washington Post, citing a leaked US intelligence document on the web, reported that Egypt planned to secretly send Russia up to 40,000 missiles. According to the publication, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi ordered the production of up to 40,000 missiles and shells at military enterprises for their subsequent transfer to the Russian side.

Paragraph by columnist Arina Tkachuk on the veracity of this information and why it is disseminated by Western media.
