A breathtaking video of saving 5 people from torrential rains in the Sultanate of Oman

The cameras of citizens in the Sultanate of Oman documented a breathtaking scene, on Sunday, to rescue people who were swept away by strong torrents in Wadi Al-Sarmi in the Wilayat of Al-Khaboura.

According to the site "Al Jazeera"The rescuers formed a rope from a large and thick piece of cloth that those stuck in the torrential waters clung to in order to reach land, and they were able to save 5 of them.

The flowing torrential waters washed away, after heavy rains in the country, heavy equipment, and led to a rockslide in Muscat, in which a number of cars were damaged, without any human injuries being recorded.

The Omani Civil Defense and Ambulance said, via Twitter, that "Rescue teams of the Civil Defense and Ambulance Department in Muscat Governorate responded to a rockslide accident on the Al-Amerat-Qurayyat road, with some vehicles affected, without any injuries reported.".

Heavy rains flooded a number of valleys and reefs in the north of the Sultanate of Oman, and formed torrential rains that blocked some roads.

And the Omani Civil Aviation Authority issued an alert of the possibility of heavy thunderstorms, starting from Tuesday morning until evening, in the governorates of Dhofar, Al Wusta, South Al Sharqiyah, and the Hajar Mountains.

And she advised citizens to take caution and caution during thunderstorms, not to cross valleys, avoid low places, and not go to the sea during the warning period, due to the flow of reefs and valleys in some areas. This condition is accompanied by active winds at times, and low horizontal vision during thunderstorms.

Weather maps and analyzes of the National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards, according to Omani Meteorology, showed that the Sultanate of Oman’s skies may be affected by a groove from an air depression, starting from Saturday until Tuesday evening.

A wave of torrents and floods, in the summer of 2022, struck a number of Gulf countries as a result of heavy rains, resulting in casualties and severe damage to roads and residential buildings.
