On Wednesday, April 12, Russia celebrates Cosmonautics Day. The governor of the region Veniamin Kondratiev congratulated the inhabitants of Kuban on this holiday.
In his accounts on social networks, the head of the region noted that Cosmonautics Day is a special holiday in Russian history. Kondratiev called this date “a symbol of unlimited human possibilities, capable of overcoming even the force of gravity.”
The governor also said that Kuban schoolchildren have many opportunities to learn about such an important part of the country’s history as space exploration. For example, the regional museum and exhibition project “Closer to the Stars” has been running for several years, where children can get acquainted with space and the latest discoveries. Various scientific and popular events are also organized in the region. For example, during the festival of young engineers “Cosmos Here”, the participants sent four nanosatellites to the research expedition.
“I am sure that our young researchers will be able to contribute to the conquest of space”, concluded the governor.
