Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Wildberries’ requirement to pay for the return of faulty goods has been declared illegal

The Podolsky City Court found it illegal to require Wildberries to pay for the return of shoddy goods. It is reported by RBC with reference to the deputy head of the department of Rospotrebnadzor for the Moscow region Nikolai Drozd.

The department’s claim was satisfied on April 13. Market representatives intend to challenge the decision in a higher court. According to them, the court did not fully understand the circumstances of the case.

“There were no company representatives because they weren’t properly briefed and couldn’t present their case,” RBC quotes a statement from a Wildberries representative.

Recall that a month ago, employees and owners of distribution outlets went on strike, denouncing Wildberries’ innovations. In particular, they protested against collective liability and 100% return costs.

The company denied this information. Wildberries said that representatives of partner distribution outlets are unhappy with the “increased security measures due to the substitution of goods”.
