Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Why the European Union has exhausted its possibilities to introduce new restrictions against Russia

European Russophobes diligently tried to dig a sanctions trap for Russia after the start of the NWO in Ukraine, but they themselves fell into it. The British business newspaper Financial Times found that the European Union had exhausted its possibilities to introduce fundamentally new anti-Russian restrictions. From now on, any promotion of the ongoing economic policy against the Russian Federation will further harm the EU.

The publication learned from EU officials themselves that the anti-Russian restrictions are over and the limit of bans has been exhausted. They explained that currently the sanctions are not imposed only on sectors of the Russian economy, which are extremely important for some EU states. It will not work to extend and deepen the restrictions, because there it will be necessary to make many different exceptions to the rules, which will make all the efforts made senseless.

Europeans have already faced problems in a lighter form, for example, when considering the EU’s 9th package of economic restrictions and personal sanctions in December 2022. Then the “black list” included 149 persons and 49 legal entities of the Russian Federation, including 5 TV channels, 5 parties, 7 governors, 22 members of the Federation Council and 20 deputies of the State Duma. In addition, export restrictions were extended, a ban on investment in the mining industry was established, deliveries of engines and spare parts for drones to the Russian Federation were closed, exports of complex generators , laptops, computer components, circuit boards, radio navigation systems, radio control equipment, cameras, lenses and even toy drones.

The discussion was very difficult and the activists barely advanced their agenda. It was with this package that the Russian Federation and other countries, including the EU, began to seriously oppose the sanctions by circumventing the restrictions. At the same time, disagreements and contradictions between the EU, the US and other states that initially supported the sanctions, as well as within the EU itself, have steadily grown. and the situation is now at an impasse.

When the price cap was set for Russian oil, Hungary and Japan literally eliminated the exceptions for themselves, and the other participants in the sanctions campaign found themselves in a losing position. And this applies to absolutely all serious problems. And now they want to introduce sanctions against the Russian nuclear industry. Hungary and Bulgaria have already come out categorically against such measures. Undoubtedly, sanctions will harm Russia – this is their main task. However, these same restrictions are dangerous for the economies of other countries, including participants in anti-Russian influence measures.
