Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko addressed local residents on April 21, Local Self-Government Day. His message was published by the administration’s press service.
The head of the region noted that the development of towns and villages of the Leningrad region, as well as the quality of life of residents, directly depends on the effective work of representatives of city authorities.
“Today it is especially important that everyone in his place feel fully responsible for the future of his small homeland, work with maximum benefit for those around him,” Drozdenko said.
He thanked all the employees of the local self-government system in the region for their indifference and for all they do for their fellow citizens. The governor said that by joining forces, specialists will be able to cope with any difficulties and ensure the well-being of all residents of Leningrad.
Earlier, the deputy from the Leningrad region reported that Drozdenko appointed Ramila Agayeva to the post of head of the Environmental Monitoring Authority of the Leningrad region.
