Britain has imposed sanctions on five Russians in the Kara-Murza case*

The UK has imposed sanctions on five Russian citizens in the Vladimir Kara-Murza* case, the country’s foreign ministry said, Reuters reports.

It is specified that judge Elena Lenskaya, who sentenced him to 25 years in prison, two investigators in the Kara-Murza* case, as well as two employees of the Federal Security Service, fell under restrictive measures.

British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley has accused Russian authorities of neglecting basic human rights.

“The UK will continue to support Kara-Murza and her family. I call on Russia to release him immediately,” he said.
