School specializations The school provides students with 3 technical majors, namely: Information Technology major. Upon graduation, female students of this major obtain a Microsoft Office Applications Specialist certificate from Microsoft, in addition to a Microsoft Technology Affiliate Certificate, and certificates for information technology students who intend to pursue a career. Specializing in network infrastructure and management, they can also enroll in universities and engineering colleges in the field of information technology and computer engineering. The school also offers a “laboratory technician” specialization, and students of this specialization, upon their graduation from the school, obtain a second “TEV” certificate in taking and measuring laboratory samples. This certificate will enable them to join the work as laboratory technicians in many sectors such as the health, environment, energy and industry sectors. They can also join universities and pursue postgraduate studies in the field of chemical engineering. The function of laboratory technicians is to perform tasks related to the laboratory. As for the third specialization, it is “electronics and communications.” Upon their graduation from the school, the students of this specialization will obtain a second engineering certificate in electronics. This certificate enables them to join the work in the various relevant authorities in the sectors that are based on electronic systems, and they can also join the various universities and engineering colleges (electronics, electricity and communications inside and outside the country). The job of female electronics and communications specialists is to understand, operate, and maintain electrical and pneumatic devices and systems related to electronics, by reading and drawing electronic circuits by hand, as well as by computer, in addition to simple and advanced electronic welding skills, electrical and electronic installations related to devices, as well as connecting electronic boards and preparing related cables. networks, optical fibers and communications, in addition to sending and receiving signals and waves, and detecting and repairing electronic faults. Curricula The school follows the Australian teaching system “TAFE” and the global Microsoft curriculum with curricula that keep pace with international technical education in the fields of electronics, information technology and laboratory technicians. The school’s educational plan is based on academic education and technical education. The Ministry’s vision is to achieve leadership in providing permanent and innovative education opportunities of high quality to the Qatari community. And obtaining the Australian TEV certificate, to qualify students to work immediately after graduation from school as laboratory technicians and assistants in other disciplines before completing their university degree.
