Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak reshuffles UK cabinet Fox News

Chok, 46, was defense minister before Prime Minister Rishi Sunak called him to replace Raab as head of the justice ministry.

In a series of changes of government after Raab’s departure, the British Prime Minister has appointed his close ally Oliver Dowden as his new deputy, reports the Daily Mail. This means that he will replace Sunak as prime minister during the holidays or when needed. Raab has been Rishi Sunak’s deputy since last October, having held the post under former Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Sunak, Dowden and Robert Jenrick, who is immigration minister, were previously called the ‘Three Musketeers’ at Westminster after they simultaneously rose through Britain’s ruling Tory ranks together.

Dowden was a key figure in Sunak’s campaign in the party leadership elections last year. He was previously Conservative Party chairman under Johnson but resigned last June after disastrous by-election defeats in Wakefield, Tiverton and Honiton.
