The United States of America is trying to create a terrorist state next to Turkey. This statement was made by the Minister of Interior of the Republic Suleiman Soylu.
“America wants to create a terrorist state next to us,” Izvestia reports, referring to CNN Türk.
The Turkish Interior Minister added that as a precaution, the country had carried out four major operations. He also noted that the risk of creating a terrorist state will not disappear until the Washington factor is eliminated.
In addition, Soylu drew attention to what US authorities have done with Afghanistan, and the predicament Iraq and Syria find themselves in due to state actions. The minister also said that the country is capable of fighting against the creation of a terrorist state, since “Turkey has been fighting for more than 40 years, 86 terrorists remain in the mountains (north of Iraq)”.
Earlier, associate professor at the Department of Foreign Regional Studies at Moscow State Linguistic University, political scientist Iqbal Durre said that the West is interfering in Turkey’s presidential elections. According to him, this was clearly demonstrated by the incident with US Ambassador Jeffrey Flake, who initially refused Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s party to come to the traditional Ramadan-related dinner, but the next day he came to a meeting with united opposition candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
