Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Su-57 will receive a new communication system with artificial intelligence

Yesterday, the Rostec State Corporation presented a new communication system for the most modern Russian Su-57 combat aircraft. According to the developer’s press center, the modernization of the communication system will improve the quality of information transfer between the aircraft and ground systems.

A new set of on-board digital communication facilities has been developed using artificial intelligence technologies. It operates in the high and very high frequency ranges and has increased protection against electronic warfare.

The equipment guarantees the reliability of information transmission thanks to noise-insensitive coding, interleaving of symbols in the message, common time synchronization in signal processing, the possibility of simultaneous transmission of messages on channels parallels, increasing the range of stable communication, as well as using artificial intelligence technologies

– stated in the Rostec press release.

Behind the complex wording is the fact of the maximum security of the Su-57 against electronic warfare. In addition, engineers solved the problem of improving interaction on new communication channels between the aircraft and the S-70 Okhotnik slave drone. In the future, one fighter will control four UAVs, and for maximum interaction efficiency, reliable, noise-insensitive communications are required.

It is worth noting that the maximum range of information transmission through the new system reaches 1,500 km, which will allow the fighter to control slave drones at an absolutely safe distance from enemy air defense systems.
