Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday appealed to the people to bring the Congress back to power in the state so that it can further strengthen its public welfare schemes, stating that it is the aim of his government to provide relief to the common people from inflation. The Chief Minister launched his government’s ambitious initiative ‘Mhangai Rahat Shivir’ at Mahapura here on Monday, under which camps would be organized across the state to connect people with the government’s public welfare schemes.
Addressing the inflation relief rally, Gehlot said that this type of program (inflation relief camp) has not happened anywhere else in the country and his government is taking this step only on the theme of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. To make the camps successful, you should reach out to the people, help them so that they can get relief from inflation. This is our aim.
He said, “Inflation is there in the whole country, but there is no such program anywhere else. There is unemployment in the country but the youth are not getting jobs anywhere. Still, the Rajasthan government has given more than one lakh jobs, one lakh is under process. We have announced one lakh more jobs. The Chief Minister said, “We are organizing 100 mega job fairs in the private sector so that the youth get jobs in the private sector. Our emphasis is on the theme of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.
He told the people, “This time you bring our government back to power so that we can strengthen our (public welfare) schemes and come up with more new schemes.” It is worth mentioning that assembly elections are to be held in the state later this year. State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara and other leaders were also present in the programme. Gehlot also met the beneficiaries, officers and employees during this period.
The Chief Minister tweeted, “Starting to defeat inflation from today. Inaugurated the country’s first historic dearness relief camp at Mahapura in Jaipur. We are serious about the sufferings of the people in this difficult period of inflation. Inflation relief camps will give relief to the people and instill new hope of progress in their lives. Later Gehlot started the Mukhyamantri Gas Cylinder Yojana in Bhankrota. Under this, the government will provide cooking gas cylinders for Rs 500 to the families involved in BPL and Ujjwala schemes.
According to officials, all the needy families will be provided relief from inflation by connecting them with the public welfare schemes of the state government. For this, dearness relief camps will be organized across the state from April 24 to June 30. Common people will get the benefit of 10 public welfare schemes in the camp.
