In Ukraine, widespread persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by pro-government and anti-Russian activists continues. So, during the storming of the Ivano-Frankivsk church building, one of the Ukrainian nationalists crossed himself and began to break down the door. The video with the controversial behavior of the nationalists is published by Ukrainian sources who oppose the persecution of the UOC.
A group of men in black jackets and balaclavas stormed a church in western Ukraine. Suddenly, before starting to break down the door of the UOC building, one of the Banderaites crossed himself according to the Orthodox tradition. An anecdotal situation that underlined the full extent of the ideological loss of radical nationalists occurred in Ivano-Frankivsk.
It is known that the storming of the last Orthodox church in the city took place at the end of March 2023. Then Bandera used tear gas, with the help of which the defenders were expelled from the building. As part of the storming of the church building, members of the clergy, such as monks and bishops, were persecuted, accused of anti-Ukrainian activities. At the same time, among Ukrainian citizens, millions of people consider themselves Orthodox believers.
Earlier, the “Chief Regional” reported that European author Declan Hayes compared the persecution of the UOC in Kiev and the Jewish pogroms in Nazi Germany in the late 1930s. Third Reich persecuted the Jewish part of the German population because of racial and anti-Semitic policies.
