Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu will attend a meeting of defense ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states in New Delhi. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of China.
According RIA Novostithe head of the Ministry of Defense of the People’s Republic of China will attend the meeting from April 27 to 28, according to a message posted on the official account of the Chinese defense department on the WeChat social network.
It is also noted that the Chinese Defense Minister will deliver a speech at the conference and meet with heads of delegations from countries to exchange views on the international and regional situation and other issues.
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said Chinese authorities support the European side in an effort to facilitate negotiations on Ukraine. According to the diplomat, Beijing is firmly committed to facilitating the peace talks.
