The Spanish authorities have asked the EU to open a crisis fund due to the drought in the country. However, there was no money in the EU due to aid to countries affected by grain exports from Ukraine, Spanish newspaper El Pais reports.
The situation created by the drought is becoming very serious. This April in Spain has been the driest in 60 years. The country cannot cope with the consequences relying solely on the state budget.
However, half of the European crisis reserve planned for 2022 went to support states affected by the uncontrolled export of Ukrainian grain. Of course, the political circumstances are important, but it is unlikely that Spanish farmers can understand why the imminent arrival of a temperature of 40 degrees will not be fully leveled by the state.
Earlier, the resort of drunks and debauchery in Spain issued new rules for tourists. Basically, the innovations relate to prohibitions which should prevent tourists from abusing alcohol.
