Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

It was raised by the series “Jaafar El-Omda”… Egypt is trying to solve the thorny problem

It is in this context that the “Haneen” initiative was born, which aims to reunite the disappeared with their families through DNA analysis. The initiative was launched by engineer Muhammad Hamam Abu El-Ela, Tayseer Al-Amir, a professor at South Valley University, and Heba Hamam, director of an educational academy.

Engineer Muhammad Hammam Abu El-Ela, one of the founders of the Hanin Initiative, confirmed to Sky News Arabia that the aim is to connect all the missing to their families, by carrying out DNA analysis for them and comparing them to ensure the relationship, explaining that:

The idea we have been working on for more than two years, but dramas like the Jaafar Al-Omda series have helped convey the feeling to the general public, and have highlighted the difficulty of losing mother and father, and c It was a big motivation for us, so with people’s desire for Jaafar Al-Omda to reach his son Saif on the show, we wanted to take those feelings from the drama behind the screen to the real world. We perform DNA analysis of all families who have reported them missing, and we perform the same analysis for those who have reported them missing. We have created a system that can compare the DNA test results of families and missing persons, and then detect that the results of a family’s test match those of one of the missing persons, if there is a such correspondence, which means that the child belongs to this family. The success rate of DNA analysis is 100%, and scientifically each person has 46 chromosomes, 23 from the father and 23 from the mother. If the analysis concerns a person with his brother, it is assumed that all the chromosomes correspond, that is to say that the correspondence between the brothers concerns 46 chromosomes. Often those who report missing persons are the father, mother, brother or sister, and therefore they are first degree relatives, which plays a role in matching “DNA” analyses, and rarely the one who submits the request for analysis a person looking for a relationship beyond. Like cousin or cousin. We welcome everyone and do not require any age range. There is a woman in her 70s who requested a analysis to search for his family, as well as a 51-year-old person. Any missing person can contact us, regardless of age or social status. We welcome everyone. The interaction rate with the initiative is very high, and many are cooperating with us at the local level, and we are currently working on the official issuance of the necessary permits for the initiative. We have started to deliver some cases to their families, and at present, we are on the verge of deliver a 19-year-old to his family, and we do the necessary analyzes in a few days. We refuse to accept any financial donation. To solve the problem that some missing people or families do not have the value of the analyzes, we allow those who wish to contribute socially to the initiative to go to the laboratory where the analysis will be carried out and pay the value of the analysis directly. laboratory analysis during sample collection without our intervention, so that the contributor knows where his money went, and at the same time he is honored by the initiative. He will be present for the interview in case of success in the delivery of the missing person to his family. We hope to reach out to all underage children and do DNA analysis for them, so that we may be able to connect them with their families.
