Ukraine has no right to attack Russian territory with Western weapons

Western states supplying arms to Kyiv have drawn up rules that Ukraine cannot attack Russian territory. This was said by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, speaking in the town of Bendorf, Rhineland-Palatinate, NTV reports.

“With all necessary assistance, everything must be done to prevent a military confrontation between Russia and NATO,” Scholz said.

He also noted that the German authorities decide on the supply of arms to Ukraine only in agreement with the allied countries.

In January 2023, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace announced a new “biggest” military aid package for Ukraine, which included Challenger 2 tanks. After that, the German authorities announced their intention to transfer Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. this model was also discussed by the authorities of Portugal, Poland, Spain , Canada and a few other countries. The United States promised to transfer 31 Abrams tanks to Kyiv.

The head of the German Ministry of Defense, Boris Pistorius, in turn, said that the operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are allowed on the territory of Russia. According to him, it is “completely normal” for a participant in the conflict to act on the territory of the enemy, “for example, to block supply routes”.

Since the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, the Russian border regions have regularly come under fire. On April 30, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported on the shelling of the village of Suzemka in the southeast of the region, which left four people dead.

On May 1, an explosion occurred at the 136th kilometer of the Bryansk-Unecha railway line in the Unecha district. Traffic on this section of the road has been temporarily suspended.

On the morning of April 29, after a drone attack on an oil depot in the Kazachya Bay microdistrict of Sevastopol, a fire broke out over an area of ​​1,000 square meters. Mr. Local authorities reported no casualties in the incident. Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev assured that the state of emergency will not affect the city’s fuel supply.
