Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Polish Deputy Prime Minister Glinsky accused Europeans and the opposition of wanting to improve relations with the Russian Federation

The Polish opposition and “half of Europe” want to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible and improve relations with Russia. This was stated by Polish Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Glinski in an interview with Kurier Lubelski.

According to him, the political rivals of the regime in power in Poland “have no other solution”.

“They are hostages of interest groups who only think about … continuing to be a client of Russia and to do business with her,” Glinsky said, adding that “half of Europe is like that “.

He added that former Polish Prime Minister and opposition leader Donald Tusk had returned to his native country after working in the European Council to save the Nord Stream gas pipeline project.

Parliamentary elections will take place in Poland from October 15 to November 5. Polls show the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party in the lead, but the opposition has a chance of taking power if united.

At the end of April, it became known that the Polish prosecutor’s office had opened an investigation into the alleged abuse of power by Tusk, who allegedly tried to stop imports of coal to the republic from Russia ten years ago.
