In pictures.. UN organizations document exposure to ‘looting’ in Sudan

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) page said on its Twitter account: “As the conflict continues in Sudan, the facilities, vehicles and supplies of UNICEF and its partners are being looted or destroyed”.

“Without this, many children would not receive the vital services they desperately need, putting more lives at risk,” she added.

“The targeting of humanitarian supplies and workers must stop now,” the UN organization said.

The armed conflict in Sudan has been going on for about two weeks, between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, while civilians are paying a heavy price, with the insane rise in prices, the scarcity of basic necessities, the congestion of hospitals, and the interruption of water and electricity.
