The educational building of Moscow State University was transferred to remote work due to measles

Students and employees of several faculties of Moscow State University have been transferred to a remote work and study format. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the order of the university.

The restrictions apply only to those who study and work in the 2nd Educational Building on the Lenin Hills. Distance learning is introduced from May 2 to May 17. The university’s press service told the agency that a case of measles has been detected in the educational institution.

The 2nd Educational Building houses several faculties, including the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Space Studies, Teacher Training, Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics, as well as the Graduate School of Business and the Preparatory Department.

In April, a case of measles was detected in a student at the MIREA Russian Technological University. Earlier, Russia’s Gubkin State Oil and Gas University was shifted to distance learning due to a case of measles.

Rospotrebnadzor reported on the complication of the situation with this disease – the infection has already affected dozens of regions. At the same time, measles vaccination coverage in Russia exceeds 95%.
