Roof collapses during a wedding ceremony in Afghanistan’s Nijrab district, 45 injured

Kabul: At least 45 people were injured when a roof collapsed during a wedding ceremony in Nijrab district of Afghanistan’s Kapisa province. The news agency Xinhua has given this report on Tuesday quoting the local police. Reports said that the condition of many of the injured is critical and they have been admitted to the hospital. Roof collapses have been common in Afghanistan, possibly due to heavy rains and floods, with 23 of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces witnessing such incidents in March. At least nine people were killed and 74 others were injured in the natural disaster, according to the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority.
