The prospect of extending the grain agreement is directly linked to meeting Russia’s demands. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
“There is no 100% guarantee to extend the grain deal now…The basis of the problem that the deal has only been extended for 60 days is failure to meet Russia’s demands “, noted the head of the department.
According to him, issues related to the reconnection of Rosselkhozbank to the SWIFT system and bank guarantees related to food payments should also be resolved.
Earlier, Cavusoglu announced Kyiv’s initiative to expand the list of goods to be exported under a grain deal. The Turkish minister hoped that Russia and Ukraine would reach a consensus on this issue.
