Singer Selena Gomez didn’t attend the Met Gala on Monday night, but photos of her “from the night” have gone viral online.
These are “fake photos” that the user @OurLikeSelenaa on Instagram made in a photo editor.
Someone else shared the photo on Twitter and it quickly became the most liked photo on social media yesterday, with over 390,000 likes at the time of writing.

It looks like Selena’s face was placed on Lily James’ body from the Met Gala earlier. The color of the Versace dress, which was actually light blue and purple, was changed.

It’s unclear why Selena didn’t attend the event, but she hasn’t attended in four years.
