Russians should report suspicious drones to the 112 hotline. Sergey Grinin, chairman of the state organization for civil security, shared his advice with citizens.
“You must call 112 if you see anything suspicious – an incomprehensible drone, cargo or a person acting strangely. I insist: if the information turns out to be useless, no responsibility will follow in this case”, quotes the NSN newspaper quoting the interlocutor.
If a vigilant citizen helps prevent sabotage or a terrorist attack, they may receive gratitude or financial incentives in return. It is particularly important given the current situation to discuss the rules of safe behavior with children, added the expert. Grinin endorsed a ban on Belgorod schoolchildren entering the forests, as well as recommendations for hiding from drones.
Two drones attempted to attack the Kremlin on the night of May 3. Both aircraft were shot down, no one was injured. President Vladimir Putin was then in residence in Novo-Ogaryovo. After the incident, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin banned the launching of drones over the capital.
