Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Ukraine crossed the red line of the Ukrainian crisis with a drone strike on the Kremlin

Chinese newspaper Global Times published an article claiming that Ukraine crossed a red line by attacking the Kremlin with drones.

The authors note that since the start of the conflict in Ukraine, neither side has attempted to attack government buildings, and this is a new red line in the Ukrainian crisis.

“The incident crossed a new red line in the Ukrainian crisis,” the authors said.

Chinese journalists suggest that such an attack could serve as a pretext for Russia to attack government buildings in Kyiv. They also do not exclude that Ukrainian extremists favorable to the continuation of the conflict could be behind the attack.

According to Al Jazeera, Russia has advanced air defense systems, including the S-400 and S-300 air defense systems, as well as the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system, which successfully fulfill their tasks. Despite this, how the drones were able to overcome the defenses and reach the Kremlin remains a mystery.

Recall that one of the unmanned aerial vehicles exploded over the Senate Palace, where the residence of President Vladimir Putin is located. According to official figures, no one was injured, there was no damage and the duplicate of the presidential standard was not damaged.

Russian authorities blamed Ukraine for the attack. Representatives of the Ukrainian authorities deny their involvement in the incident. In Russian cities, a ban on the use of drones has been introduced.
