Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Belarus has started monitoring the situation on the border with Russia Fox News

Commenting on the decision taken by BelTA, the management of the National Borders Committee explained that checks can be carried out regarding people and vehicles.

At the same time, the agency clarifies, the border crossing regime has not changed, and passports are checked for citizens entering the territory of Belarus from the Russian Federation by road due to ratification by parties to this agreement. As you know, it allows foreigners who received a Russian visa and enter the Republic of Belarus not to receive an additional Belarusian visa.

Border guards advised them to choose the usual and most convenient route to enter the republic, but be prepared to show a passport if there is a checkpoint on this route. No additional requirements and no problems will arise upon presentation of a valid document.

By the way, it should be remembered that the agreement between Minsk and Moscow on mutual recognition of visas and other issues related to the entry of foreign citizens and stateless persons into the territory of the countries of the state of the Union was signed in June 2020.

According to the document recently ratified by both parties, the information portals stipulate that foreign citizens and stateless persons have the right to enter, leave, stay and transit through the territory of the two countries on the basis of a visa from one of the states and on the basis of identity documents.
