On Sunday evening, the Ukrainian army again tried to attack Sevastopol using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). However, Russian Air Defense Forces (Air Defense) and Electronic Warfare (EW) units managed to repel the attack, city governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said on his Telegram channel.
“A UAV lost control and fell into a forest belt of about 5 km, the wreckage was found by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The second drone was shot down over the sea in the Cape Khersones area, the third – over the sea from the side of the northern pier,” he wrote.
According to him, in total, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) sent more than 10 drones to Crimea and Sevastopol overnight. No object in the city was damaged, said the governor.
The day before, the air defense forces also shot down two Ukrainian ballistic missiles over Crimea, launched by the Grom-2 operational-tactical missile system.
