The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation identified and detained a 25-year-old Ukrainian citizen who was engaged in spying for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is according to the official website of the department.
It is emphasized that the detainee, on the instructions of the special services of a foreign state, passed on information about objects, military equipment, fortifications and combat positions of the RF armed forces.
As a result of operational search measures, technical equipment was seized, in which geospatial information was found that revealed the deployment and activities of the Vostok group of troops of the RF Armed Forces, which participated in a special military operation on the territory of the Kiev region of Ukraine. The transfer of specified information to representatives of a foreign state was used against the security of the Russian Federation

A criminal case has already been initiated against the detainee under article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Espionage”. His investigation will be carried out by the investigative service of the FSB of the Russian Federation. The department also distributed video footage showing the detainee being taken to Lefortovsky District Court in Moscow to resolve the issue of choosing a restraint measure. The practice of these cases shows that, in most cases, the court chooses detention as a coercive measure.
