Insurance ‘scam’ case: CBI conducts searches at nine places in Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi

New Delhi. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday carried out searches at the premises of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik’s then aide and eight other locations in Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir in an alleged insurance scam case.

Officials gave this information. They said that the CBI teams started the search operation this morning at the residence of the then aide of the former governor and at other places. The agency had questioned Malik on April 28 and this action is being taken today. . The agency had also recorded the statement of Malik in October last year.

Significantly, Malik had allegedly alleged corruption in a group medical insurance scheme and contracts for public works. The CBI has registered two FIRs in this regard.
