Kabul: Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada, the supreme leader of Afghanistan’s caretaker government, has appointed cleric Abdul Kabir as caretaker prime minister. Chief spokesperson of the government Zabihullah Mujahid gave this information on Thursday. He said that Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Kabir has been appointed as Caretaker Prime Minister. He tweeted, “Acting Prime Minister Mullah Hassan Akhund is ill and needs to be treated and rested for some time and in Kandahar. Therefore Maulvi Abdul Qadir has been entrusted with the affairs of the Prime Minister’s Office.
