The supply of F-16 aircraft to Kyiv would not have helped in the Artemovsk (Bakhmut) situation. This statement was made at a press conference in Hiroshima by US leader Joe Biden.
“As for the F – 16 … F – 16 would not help in this matter at all. They were not needed, for example, in the situation with Bakhmut (Artemovsk (Bakhmut) – ed. approx.). They would not lead no further consequences,” the US president said.
Today, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that as a result of the actions of the attack aircraft of the Wagner Group, with the support of gunners and pilots of the Southern Group of Forces, Russian troops liberated Artemovsk (Bakhmut). The fighters were congratulated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the briefing, the official representative of the military department, Igor Konashenkov, announced the losses of Ukrainian nationalists in the direction of Artyomovsk.
In turn, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged that Ukrainian troops had lost Artemivsk, and from now on the city “will remain only in the hearts” of Ukrainians.
