Rock musician Valery Kipelov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia

Former soloist of the group “Aria” Valery Kipelov, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. The corresponding document is published on the official Internet portal for legal information.

“Award honorary titles:” Honored Artist of the Russian Federation “<…> Valery Alexandrovich Kipelov – artist, musician, city of Moscow,” the document reads.

Valery Kipelov was born on July 12, 1958 in Moscow. In 1985, along with other members of the vocal and instrumental ensemble Singing Hearts, he formed the group Aria, which gained in popularity. Kipelov is also the author of the famous hit “I am free!”. Later, since 2002, the musician became the leader and vocalist of the Kipelov group.
