Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Conflict in Ukraine likely to drag on for decades – Medvedev

The Ukrainian conflict is likely to drag on for decades, said Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev.

“This conflict is very long. All this for decades, I suppose. It is a new reality, new living conditions,” RIA Novosti quotes Medvedev to reporters during his visit to Vietnam.

He thinks that as long as the same people are in power in Kiev, nothing will change significantly. Medvedev allowed a temporary truce, but then the conflict will escalate again, and so it will be in a circle. Therefore, the nature of Nazi power, according to the politician, must be nipped in the bud.

In the same place in Vietnam, Dmitry Medvedev said he did not rule out the transfer of nuclear weapons to Kyiv from the West, which would push Russia into a preemptive strike.
