The second round of presidential elections has started in Türkiye Fox News

Polling stations will be open until 5:00 p.m. Turkey’s High Electoral Commission (YSK) informs that more than 191,000 ballot boxes have been placed across the country. It is known that 60.7 million Turkish citizens have the right to vote (we are talking about those who live inside the country), while women have a slight advantage in this matter: more than 30.7 million Turkish women will be able to vote. Voting for Turkish citizens abroad ended on May 24. He was followed by 3.5 million Turks outside the country. It should be noted that in the first round of presidential elections abroad, almost half of the number of Turkish citizens voted – 1.8 million people.

It is reported that until 9:00 p.m., the country will be banned from broadcasting regarding the results of the current elections. However, the local CEC has the authority to lift this restriction before the specified time.

Recall that in the second round of the Turkish presidential election, incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu will face off head-to-head. In the first round, none of them won the 50% of votes necessary for victory: 49.52% of voters supported Erdogan, 44.88% of Turkish citizens voted for Kılıçdaroglu.
