Second corona dead in the Wetteraukreis

Wetteraukreis (In the night of Thursday, a second weather patient died of the consequences of the lung disease Covid-19. This was announced by district administrator Jan Weckler. According to the information, it is an 80-year-old man with previous illnesses. A 79-year-old had died as a result of the disease last week. According to Weckler, a total of 29 people diagnosed with Covid-19 are in-hospital treatment. Ten of them need intensive medical care. The number of documented cases of corona infections in the Wetteraukreis was 184 on Thursday, according to the information, 65 people have survived the disease.

“The fact that there are still free intensive beds is gratifying and shows that the situation in the clinics is still stable,” said Weckler. The capacity limit was not reached. In the district, the six clinics (Kerckhoff Clinic Bad Nauheim, Hochwaldkrankenhaus Bad Nauheim, Burgerhospital Friedberg, Kreiskrankenhaus Schotten, Mathilde-Hospital Budingen and Neurological Clinic Bad Salzhausen) had a total of 1003 beds – 112 of them in intensive care and 84 of them with ventilation. “There are currently 486 beds available, 18 of them in intensive care and 35 with ventilation,” said Weckler. If you urgently need medical help during the holidays, you can contact the emergency medical service (116117).

The district administrator emphasized that he was happy that the people adhere to the contact restrictions. In the Wetteraukreis, there have only been two incidents in the past few days, after which fines proceedings had to be initiated.
