Editorial Policy

The Eastern Herald Reviews applies editorial judgment to product coverage. Our purpose is to inform readers—not to reproduce marketing claims, guarantee commercial outcomes or tell every buyer to make the same choice.

Selection and coverage

Product submissions and pitches are considered on editorial relevance, reader interest, access, available evidence and whether a meaningful evaluation is possible. Submission, a sample or a commercial relationship does not guarantee a review or publication.

Evidence and accuracy

Reviews should distinguish direct observations from manufacturer specifications, third-party information and claims that have not been independently verified. The scope of testing must be represented accurately. We do not invent measurements, hands-on experience, laboratory results or long-term use.

Verdicts and ratings

Conclusions are based on the evidence gathered and the needs of the intended audience. Payment cannot buy a positive verdict, a predetermined rating, removal of fair criticism or guaranteed publication. Where evidence is incomplete, we should communicate the uncertainty.

Independence and conflicts

Commercial teams may discuss logistics, deliverables and factual product information, but they do not control editorial findings. Relevant financial or material relationships should be disclosed in a clear, accessible way. Promotional features must be distinguishable from editorial reviews.

Corrections and complaints

We welcome specific, evidence-backed reports of factual errors. Editors assess correction requests independently. Disagreement with an opinion or an unfavourable conclusion is not, by itself, grounds to change a review. Material corrections should be made transparently.

Reader-first reporting

Our reviews should explain strengths, limitations, intended users, value and meaningful trade-offs. We aim to help readers understand not only whether a product may suit them, but also when it may not.
