Berlin – According to an «image» report, the German Football League wants to let only 239 people into the stadium in possible ghost games in the Bundesliga.
For the games that could take place after the interruption of the current season at the beginning of May at the earliest, 30 folders and four ball boys are likely to be in the interior of an arena, writes the newspaper, according to the DFL’s own plans.
At the only ghost game of the Bundesliga to date – on March 11 at Monchengladbach 2-1 against Cologne – 600 people were allowed into Borussia-Park: the players, coaches, a few journalists, stewards, and paramedics. The audience ranks remained empty.
In the future, only 126 people will be allowed into the interior: The teams in full strength, only eight coaches, supervisors, and doctors are allowed per team. There are also 113 people in the stands – including 30 journalists. Instead of twelve so far, only four ball boys will be there. According to «Bild», the strongest group in the interior is television with a total of 36 people.
VIP guests and club employees without a function are not allowed on the ranks. Only eight members per delegation are allowed. There is nothing to drink and eat. Another 50 folders are planned in front of the stadium to prevent fans from gathering.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, no football will be played in the Bundesliga and 2nd division until at least April 30. This was decided by the 36 professional clubs at the end of March at a virtual general meeting on the recommendation of the DFL Presidium. The last Bundesliga game so far took place on March 11 in Monchengladbach – the originally planned end of the season on May 16 can no longer be held.
