Los Angeles (TEH) – Superstar Jennifer Lopez (50, “Hustlers”) has joined the corona campaign of actor Kevin Bacon and other celebrities. “We stay at home to protect them at the forefront – doctors, nurses and technicians, who work so hard to save hospital lives, “Lopez said in a video with her fiance Alex Rodríguez.
The singer and actress posted the call with the hashtag #IStayHomeFor on Instagram. Ex-baseball star Rodríguez added that they would now challenge US taskmaster Jimmy Fallon to take part in the campaign. Hollywood actor Kevin Bacon (“Footloose”, “Mystic River”) had the challenge on social media in mid-March started to get people to stay at home during the Corona pandemic.
Bacon held up a plaque with the name of his wife Kyra Sedgwick, which he would stay at home to protect. One should also get other people to join in. Many celebrities in quarantine at home have followed Bacon’s example since then.
Popstar Elton John posted on Instagram that he would stay home for his husband and two boys, David Beckham for his wife Victoria and their children, Elle Fanning for their grandmother. Demi Lovato wrote on a piece of paper that she did this for her parents, neighbours and her own health.
