Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Policeman Chris Swanson joins George Floyd protestors in Flint, Michigan

Although riots and conflicts between protesters and police in the United States have been high, this does not apply everywhere where protests took place. In the Genesee county in Flint, USA, protesters walked to the town police station and protested there for a short time. Then the guardian Chris Swanson and his police officers went out to meet the protesters and join them.

Along with police officers, protesters continued for several hours, demanding systemic changes at US law enforcement.

The trigger for the riots in the US is the death of George Floyd, who died in police custody in Minneapolis.

A video of a short speech Swanson gave has gone like a fire on the Internet.

There he said, among other things: “I want to do this as a parade, not a protest.”
