Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Donald Trump again nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize

US President Donald Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. The corresponding request was sent to the Nobel Committee by a representative of the Norwegian parliament, Fox News reports.

The merit for which it is proposed to reward the American politician is the conclusion of an agreement between Israel and the UAE, as well as the president’s efforts to normalize relations between India and Pakistan and between the DPRK and South Korea. In addition, the author of the appeal noted that Trump became the first US president in 39 years who, during his tenure in the main government post, did not unleash a single new war.

It should be noted that two years ago Trump was already nominated for the prestigious award. However, this time the award went to Denis Mukwege, a surgeon from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Nadia Murad, an Iraqi human rights activist.

Trump’s predecessor as the US president, Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009. True, the members of the Nobel Committee could not name any specific merit of the American leader, and therefore limited themselves to the wording “For efforts in strengthening international diplomacy and cooperation between people.”
