Another Capitol guard dies, the police did not announce the cause of death

U.S. authorities say another police officer in charge of guarding the Capitol has passed away. Although it is noted that during the protest, Donald Trump’s supporters were not on duty, the cause of death was not disclosed.

Capitol police announced that another police officer in charge of guarding the Congress passed away – Howard Liebengud, 51 years old, reports Politico. when four people were killed and dozens of police officers wounded.

“Officer Libengood was a patriot who dedicated his life to defending the Capitol and protecting all who serve, work, and visit this temple of our democracy,” said Nancy House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Libengood’s death came days after Brian Siknik, also a Capitol police officer, died from injuries sustained in clashes with protesters.
