Democrats have officially presented a resolution on the recall of Donald Trump due to last week’s incursion of his supporters into the Capitol in Washington, CNN reports.

The document accuses Trump of “inciting rebellion” and claims that he actively incited violence.

The resolution also mentions Trump’s false claims about the stolen elections, as well as the video in which he asked the Secretary of State of Georgia to find him 11,000 votes.

The resolution on the repeal, which the House of Representatives will vote on this week, is the first step of the Democrats towards Trump becoming the first president in history to be repealed twice.

The recall article points to Trump’s repeated false claims that he won the election and his speech to those gathered on January 6, just before his mob broke into the Capitol.

Trump’s call with the Republican Secretary of State from Georgia was also quoted, in which Trump called on him to “find” enough votes to win the elections there.

–  With all this, Trump has seriously endangered the security of the United States and government institutions. It threatened the integrity of the democratic system and hindered the peaceful transition of power. He thus betrayed his trust as president – it is stated in the resolution.

The resolution also refers to the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, noting that it prohibits the performance of duties by any person who engages in rebellion or rebellion against the United States.
