Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, made a brief statement after a session of the House of Representatives that voted to impeach President Donald Trump .

–  No one is above the law, not even the President of the United States. Donald Trump is a clear danger to our country, we have once again proved that we respect the oath we took and we managed to defend the US Constitution. With a broken heart because of what this means for our country, due to the fact that the president betrayed the state, we had to vote for the impeachment – said Pelosi.

She has signed a revocation document, which will be forwarded to the upper house, but it remains unclear when the U.S. Senate will begin the trial.

Earlier, in US history Trump is the first president to be impeached twice . During the voting session of the US Congress, Republicans also voted against Trump .
